Wollaway bungalows are not listed as being defective and there is not a license repair scheme for these bungalows although most mortgage lenders will offer a mortgage as long as a certificate stating that the concrete Woolaway walls have been replaced with traditional brick and block construction. The scheme for this is a strip foundation around the property, a width of 500mm and a depth which is governed by ground conditions, local authority inspection and the depth of the original foundation. Once this is achieved we then tie new foundation to old and new drainage where needed. The next step is the acrow propping and boarding of the internal walls and supporting of the ceiling walls, once this step is completed we then start the demolition progress of moving the concrete sections. When removed a traditional block and brick insulated cavity construction is built. New windows and doors can be supplied and fitted also along with new facia, soffit and guttering. All new internal block work walls are plaster boarded and skimmed. Once all works are complete a PRC certificate is issued by the engineer also a sign off certificate from the local authority along with a fensa certificate for any NEW windows or doors installed. This process can take between 7-9 weeks and you can live in this property while works are being completed, but expect some disruption.
