Airey house constructions


There are many PRC homes that we have rebuilt successfully and each design of home is repaired under different approved schemes.

Airey PRC houses are repaired under the Halifax approved scheme and a mortgage can normally be arrange from the Halifax. A new foundation is constructed around the outside of the property to a depth which is governed by the ground conditions, the depth of the original foundation of the house and also by an independent engineer and by the local authority building inspector. Once this has been passed we then pour concrete. A scaffold is then erected, the internal floor joist and ceiling joist are then supported using acrow props. We then take out windows and doors. The next step is to take away the concrete column’s and panels, replacing these with a traditional block work construction forming a 100mm insulated cavity and a facing brick of the customer choice. Re fit existing windows and doors, but we can supply new windows and doors if required. New facia soffit and guttering, any roof extension repairs needed as this usually happens on the gable end of the property. Internal plaster boarding and plastering around window and door revels. This project can be completed in approx. 8 weeks and the client can live in the house while works are being completed. Once all works are complete a PRC certificate is issued by the engineer also a sign off certificate from the local authority along with a fensa certificate for any NEW windows or doors installed.

The above houses once repaired will be fit to sell or buy using high street mortgage lenders with the exception of houses repaired using the wrap around scheme.
